Funeral insurance coverage insures the policy holder, spouse, and children as follows:

Insured children include biological children, step children, adopted, legitimate or illegitimate children under the age of 21 (or 25 if they are students).
Client has ability to amend the list of beneficiaries.
All physically and mentally challenged children can be insured up to any age.

The claims process requires receipt of death reports from police, hospital or chiefs
